The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night when it covers the day, 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 As for one who gives [to others] and fears [God], 5 And believes in the best [reward], 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Indeed guiding is upon Us. 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 15 Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 16 and from which the most godfearing shall be removed, 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. 20 And he shall soon be well-pleased. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
