Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
