Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the glorious morning light; 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
