Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the white forenoon 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
