Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
