The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
