The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
