Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (O Prophet), Did We not lay open your breast 1 And We removed from you your burden 2 Which weighed down thy back. 3 And raised high your fame? 4 But lo! with hardship goeth ease, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when you finish the prayer, strive in supplication. 7 and to your Lord turn [all] your attention. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
