Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ (O Prophet), Did We not lay open your breast 1 relieved you of the burden 2 that weighed so heavily on your back, and 3 Have We not raised your remembrance? 4 Surely with difficulty is ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 When you are free from (your obligations), strive hard (to worship God) 7 And unto thine Lord, attend. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
