The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Recite thou in the name of thy Lord Who hath created 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, but verily man is rebellious 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
