The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
