The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
