The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 By the lying, the sinful forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
