In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What do you think? Have you seen if he belies and turns away, 13 Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
