Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
