Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
