The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
