Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
