The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the Calamity? 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 It is a Day whereon mankind will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 Those whose good deeds will weigh heavier (on the scale) 6 He will be in a pleasant life. 7 but he whose scales weigh lighter, 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 And what will explain to thee what this is? 10 It is a Fire, intensely hot. 11
