The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what shall teach thee what is the Clatterer? 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains shall be as loosened wool. 5 Then he whose scales weigh heavier 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 but those whose good deeds will be lighter (on the scale). 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what can make you know what that is? 10 (It is) a Fire which is extremely hot. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
