The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The event that terrifies the hearts! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what could make thee conceive what that sudden calamity will be? 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Scale 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 And as for him whose balances are light, 8 Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit. 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 A blazing Fire! 11
