The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 will have a most pleasing life. 7 whereas he whose weight is light in the balance 8 His dwelling shall be the Abyss. 9 What shall let you know what the Plunging is? 10 A flaming fire! 11
