The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Calamity is! 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 and mountains will be like carded wool. 5 Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 And as for him whose measure of good deeds is light, 8 Will have the Abyss for abode. 9 What shall let you know what the Plunging is? 10 Raging Fire. 11
