Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
