Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
