Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
