Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 You shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
