The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in columns outstretched. 9
