The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
