The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In outstretched columns. 9
