The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
