The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extending columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
