The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in towering columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
