The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
