Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 watching over you 11 who know what you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
