The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
