Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Hast thou seen him who cries lies to the Doom? 1 That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), 2 And does not induce others to feed the needy. 3 Woe, then, to those who pray, 4 Who are neglectful of their prayers, 5 They who would be seen, 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
