Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 and never encourages the feeding of the destitute. 3 So woe to the praying ones, 4 [But] who are heedless of their prayer - 5 They who would be seen, 6 and deny people the articles of common necessity. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
