Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Perish the hands of AbiLahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
