Verily the hypocrites would beguile Allah, whereas it is He who beguileth them, and when they stand up to prayer, they stand up languidly, making a show to the people, and they remember not Allah but little. 142 Fluctuating in the middle; neither here (in faith) nor there (in disbelief); and for one whom Allah sends astray, you will not find a way. 143 Believers, do not make unbelievers your intimate friends and supporters rather than believers. Do you want to establish clear evidence against yourselves before God? 144 The Hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire: no helper wilt thou find for them;- 145 Save those who repent and amend and hold fast to Allah and make their religion pure for Allah (only). Those are with the believers. And Allah will bestow on the believers an immense reward. 146 Why should God punish you if you give thanks and believe in Him? God is All-rewarding and All-forgiving. 147 ۞ Allah does not love the public utterance of hurtful speech unless (it be) by one to whom injustice has been done; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing. 148 If you display good or hide it, or pardon an evil, surely, Allah is the Pardoner, the Powerful. 149 Lo! those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers, and seek to make distinction between Allah and His messengers, and say: We believe in some and disbelieve in others, and seek to choose a way in between; 150 those in truth are the unbelievers; and We have prepared for the unbelievers a humbling chastisement. 151 For those who believe in Allah and His Messengers, and do not differentiate between them, We shall certainly give them their reward.
