O believers, fight the unbelievers who are near to you; and let them find in you a harshness; and know that God is with the godfearing. 123 When a Surah is revealed some of them remark: "Whose faith among you has it increased?" It does increase the faith of those who believe, and they rejoice. 124 But to those whose hearts are sick, it adds more filth to their hearts and they die as disbelievers. 125 Do they not realize that God tests them once or twice a year but, nevertheless, they do not repent and give it proper thought? 126 Whenever a chapter is sent down, they glance at each other, (asking): 'Does anyone see you' Then they turn away. Allah has turned away their hearts, for they are a nation who do not understand. 127 Indeed, there has come to you a Messenger from your own, he grieves for your suffering, and is anxious about you, and is gentle, merciful to the believers. 128 But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, "Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne." 129
