If they belie you, say: 'I have my work, you have your work. You are quit of what I do, and I am quit of what you do' 41 And there are those of them who hear you, but can you make the deaf to hear though they will not understand? 42 And of them is he who looketh toward thee. But canst thou guide the blind even though they see not? 43 Verily Allah wrongeth not mankind in aught but mankind wrong themselves. 44 On the day when they will be resurrected, their worldly life will seem to them only as an hour of a day and they all will recognize each other. Those who called the receiving of mercy from God a lie are certainly lost. They did not have the right guidance. 45 And whether We show thee [in this world something of what We hold in store for those deniers of the truth,] or whether We cause thee to die [before that retribution takes place - know that, in the end,] it is unto Us that they must return; and God is witness to all that they do. 46 And for every nation there is a messenger. And when their messenger cometh (on the Day of Judgment) it will be judged between them fairly, and they will not be wronged. 47 They say, "When will this promise come to pass -- if you speak the truth?" 48 Say: I do not control for myself any harm, or any benefit except what Allah pleases; every nation has a term; when their term comes, they shall not then remain behind for an hour, nor can they go before (their time). 49 Say: 'Have you considered? If His chastisement comes upon you by night or day, what part of it will the sinners seek to hasten? 50 "Would ye then believe in it at last, when it actually cometh to pass? (It will then be said): 'Ah! now? and ye wanted (aforetime) to hasten it on!' 51 Then it shall be said to the evildoers: 'Taste the punishment of eternity! Shall you be recompensed except according to what you earned' 52 And they ask you “Is it a reality*?” Say, “Yes, by oath of my Lord, indeed surely it is a reality, and you will not be able to escape.” (* The punishment of the hereafter.) 53
