He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 though you will not be questioned even if he never purifies himself. 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 noble and purified. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 So let man just consider his food: 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
