The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Laam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - 2 who believe in the unseen, and are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided them with; 3 Who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to those before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 It is they who follow the guidance [which comes from their Sustainer]; and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state! 5 As for the unbelievers, alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or hast not warned them, they do not believe. 6 Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing and there is a covering over their eyes, and there is a great punishment for them. 7
