۞ We revealed to Moses: "Set forth with My servants by night for you will be pursued." 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 “And indeed they have angered all of us.” 55 “And indeed we are an alert army.” 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. 63 Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place. 64 And We saved Moosa and all those with him. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
