Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
