Let none of you turn round, but go whither ye are commanded. 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning. 66 And the people of the town came rejoicing. 67 [Lout (Lot)] said: "Verily! these are my guests, so shame me not. 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They replied, "Did we not forbid you to bring anyone to your house?" 70 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). 71 By your life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement. 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 And We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 And verily they are on a pathway lasting. 76 Lo! therein is indeed a portent for believers. 77 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; 78 We afflicted them with punishment. Both people had clear (divine) authority among them. 79
