And when the sent angels came to the house of Lut. 61 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." 62 They said: "Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting. 63 We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful. 64 So set out with your family in a watch of the night, and keep yourself behind them, and no one of you may turn around, and keep going ahead as you have been commanded." 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 Lut said: "These are my guests: disgrace me not: 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They said: Have we not forbidden you from (other) people? 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 By your life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement. 72 Therefore the scream overcame them at sunrise. 73 And We made the upside there of downwards, and We rained on them stones of baked clay. 74 Indeed in that are signs for those who discern. 75 Indeed, it is on a way which still exists. 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; 78 We therefore took revenge from them; and indeed both these townships are situated on an open road. 79
