And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 for whatever they have done! 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
