And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 Those who broke the Word of Allah into several parts. (Those who broke the Torah / Bible or changed its text – or those who called the Qur’an a fabrication / poetry.) 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
